Do you speak German? Just being able to speak a little German goes a long way, whether it's to order drinks and / or food in a restaurant or bar, checking in at a hotel or meeting a new business contact. Many Germans and Austrians speak good English, but speaking a bit of German yourself can give you the upper-hand and make a good impression. It does makes a difference. So, if you want to start learning German or improve your German please read on. Who am I? I enjoyed languages at school and went on to study German at degree level in the UK and worked in Germany and Austria for a number of years. About 5 years ago I decided to switch careers - from over 30 years in sales and marketing to teaching. Having qualified, I now teach German to adults, at beginner and intermediate level and schoolchildren, studying for their GCSEs and "A" levels. In addition, I teach English to foreign students at a language school in Bournemouth in the UK. The connection with Dienten Mountain Resort in Austria? We like to spend many weeks of the year (Winter and Summer) in the mountains in our apartment - it is the perfect place to chill out and ideal for teaching online. |

How the lessons are structured Prior to confirming your first lesson we will discuss your specific language training requirements - depending on your level. Absolute beginner, "O" level / GCSE level, rusty, very rusty. Want to perfect your accent.....? Which skills do you want to focus on? Speaking, Reading, Listening or Writing. In most cases students want a mixture, but with an emphasis on improved understanding (listening) and being able to make yourself understood (speaking). So, in the first instance, no obligation, send me an email telling me about yourself, your experience of learning German and your wishes / expectations. Then we'll get started. Los geht's! |
